The prime suspect in the murder of Uganda Christian University (UCU) Director of Student Affairs, Pamela Ruth Tumwebaze, has been transferred to Mukono Chief Magistrate’s Court to formally face charges related to her death.

The suspect, identified as Taewaiko Dak Hussein, a former house helper at Tumwebaze’s residence, was arrested on February 14 in Budaka District. According to security sources, he was tracked and apprehended at a hideout where he was reportedly staying with his mother after evading authorities for several days.

During the arrest, security agencies recovered items believed to belong to the deceased, including a mobile phone. Investigators consider the recovered property to be key evidence linking the suspect to the crime. The items have since been secured as part of the ongoing investigation.
